FAQS

HOW DO I GET A QUOTE FOR MY EVENT?

Kudos require some basic information before providing a quote:

  • Date of event

  • Location

  • How long you'd like us to play

  • Any special requirements

  • (Early arrival time/song requests etc)

WILL WE TRAVEL ANYWHERE IN THE UK?

We are based in Leeds, but we travel internationally and across the UK. When we provide you with your quote for your event it will include travel expenses.


HOW DO I CONFIRM A BOOKING?

Once you have received and are happy with our quote we will send you a contract form, which requires a signature and a deposit payment of 25% of the full fee. This can be paid either by cash or bank transfer. Once we have received your deposit and signed contract, your booking is confirmed and we look forward to performing for you.


HOW MUCH SPACE DO WE NEED AT THE VENUE?

Depending on which package you choose for your occasion, a 6 piece band usually requires a 5m x 4m stage area. We do not provide raised staging unless requested.


HOW LONG WILL THE BAND PERFORM FOR?

We advise two 45 - 60 minute performances with a break between sets. Other popular performance configurations include x3 40 minute sets, or one 90-minute set and these must be made upon request.

Bespoke performance arrangements are also available, and the band are can perform ‘stings’ or ‘walkups’ for award ceremonies whilst presenters, speakers or winners receive awards and walk to and from the stage.


HOW LONG DO WE NEED BETWEEN SETS FOR A BREAK?

 Our breaks tend to be around 15 to 30 minutes. We will usually break during any meal service.


When should the band perform at my event?

If you are hosting a corporate event with an evening meal service, we will wait until the last course is served or the last activity has been finalised to perform.

For Weddings, our first performance will be immediately after the first dance and we will break for the evening meal service.


DO KUDOS TAKE SONG and setlist order REQUESTS?

We are happy to learn specific songs not part of our usual repertoire upon request. These selections must be sent across to kudosfunctions@gmail.com at least one-month prior to your booking. Although we would love to perform each client’s individual setlist requests, we have developed a setlist and show including over 25 of the world’s biggest party tracks with something for everyone - just trust us! Please have a look at our setlist and songbank for our current show.


HOW LONG DOES THE BAND NEED TO SETUP AND SOUNDCHECK?

We require around 90 minutes to set-up and soundcheck. For larger ensembles (7+) we would advise a minimum of 90 minutes.


WHAT TIME DO WE ARRIVE?

Depending on when you'd like us to play and location of the event we would normally arrive two hours before we play to ensure enough time to set up and sound-check. Early arrivals and soundchecks prior to guest arrival are available upon request, please get in touch for a quote.


WILL THE BAND REQUIRE REFRESHMENTS?

The band usually require an evening meal and light refreshments throughout the evening.


DOES THE BAND PROVIDE THEIR OWN PA/LIGHTING EQUIPMENT?

Yes, Kudos provides all equipment to perform other than raised staging. If you would like to hire a raised stage for your event, please email us - we work very closely with suppliers across the UK and would be able to include this as part of your package.


CAN KUDOS PROVIDE MUSIC BETWEEN SETS?

We are happy to provide music in between sets through our PA system. If you would like to use our PA system with playlist requests after we have performed and packed down, usually this would incur a surcharge.


HOW AND WHEN DO I pay?

We accept cash on the night or payment via bank transfer. With each confirmed booking, an invoice is issued with the account details for payment. BACS must be cleared at least one day prior to performance. Unfortunately we do not accept cheques.
